Anime Characters

1. Color

When it comes to color, anime characters do have vibrant colors that appeal to the eyes of the viewers a mixture of different shades of colors to come up with one distinct color that can’t be determined at one glance.

This is evident with the color of their hair, the different clothes they wear, the details found on the physical features of each character and also the setting of every episode.

2. Personality

Most of the anime characters do have a variation in their personalities; they can be the good or the bad guy. Eventually, they will emerge triumphant after a long run of different twists and turns in the story line.

3. Attack Power

These characters do have strong attack powers that can withstand any attack from the opponent. They are trained to have human emotions as their focal point whether to stay put or get back with a vengeance. Their powers are quite diversified.

Cartoon Characters

1. Color

The color of cartoon characters is dull, in the shades of browns, grays, and whites. These shades are shown mostly on the setting and especially on the clothes worn by the characters which often times look the same every episode.

This can lead to a more bored viewing audience in just a matter of 3-5 minutes and worst cartoons do often take the back seat due to this reason.

2. Personality

Cartoon characters do always stick to what roles they have. It’s either they are the princess who needs to be rescued up in the tower or the knight in shining armor who rescue the princess. That’s about it. There is no shifting of personalities or roles. This can lead them to be an easy target and an early win for the opponent.

3. Attack Power

The attack power of cartoon characters is already pre-determined on how they portray their roles. So much so, it would too easy get hit or to be knocked down by a well-versed and trained opponent.

The pros and cons have all been laid out. It is all up to you to guess or bet who will win in this match between anime and cartoon.

With the given information above, it is quite clear that anime characters over powered cartoon characters under the three categories mentioned. There is no way cartoons can take the lead.

Within 12 rounds inside the ring, the fight between these two rivals will showcase to the world who will be the reigning champion in everyone’s T.V. screens.

It’s only a matter of time, before anime characters will knock down cartoon characters and gain its rightful throne.

It is but a given fact there are a lot of otaku swirling around inside their homes, staying in front of the T.V. for long hours of watching jump-packed and fun-filled action anime series. Even these people are starting to forget to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner and have become insomniacs.

Now, you asked what otaku is. It is a term used for animation addicts. These are the type of people who are die hard anime fanatics who had every single anime series on DVD, anime products and worst dreamed about anime almost every single night. Is this curable? How can I get help if I am an otaku?

First things first, you need to understand what causes such addiction and then you can choose whether to stop or still continue.

Here are the common reasons why a person is an otaku:

1. Anime characters

The most noticeable thing that you could ever see on anime is the different sets of characters being portrayed. These characters are portrayed in such a way they are seemingly realistic and so near on how humans do act in the real world. Each character does have problems, faced conflicts, insecure, has ego, and knows how to get angry when provoked.

As a viewer, you tend to relate yourself to the characters. An added bonus is the distinct look that only anime characters do have. It’s the big eyes, bigger chest (female characters), lovely hair mostly with bangs and one-of-a-kind or weird looking attire you have seen in the world of animation.

2. Storyline

Most of the cartoons that are often shown on TV have always been the same story line every episode, Scooby Doo and his gang solve the mystery at the end of the show or Popeye saving Olive Oyl. It’s really redundant and kind of boring to most viewers.

But with anime, you will never see the same old crappy scene every episode. There is this continuity of the story line that follows through every single episode. If you missed one episode, you will surely get lost and never get the drift of the entire series.

The beauty of anime story lines is that it’s filled with drama, humor, action, suspense, and even tragedy to leave you hanging especially when the episode comes to an end. Not only that there is always a lesson to be learned that can be applied to one’s life.

3. Cool animation

For sure you will agree with that all anime do have cool animation and vibrant colors to tickle our eyes every time we watched a single episode. The tears, they really do mimic every available emotion therein within the human soul. There are even anime series that can either let you cry or laugh on some scenes.

Now, that’s what you call entertainment.

With the above mentioned reasons, for sure you can definitely attest to yourself that you are a certified anime addict or an otaku! I don’t blame you because I am also an otaku.

The Die Hard Fans of Anime

Anime is a form of animation that was originally created and produced in Japan, but has since built a much larger fan base, with other than those in living Japan . One such group of anime followers, called the fandom, started in the 1970s and came together when one of the early amine series called Space Battleship Yamato, was scheduled to be taken off the air. The combined efforts of the fans soon resulted in an additional season, but the writing was on the wall, and soon this series was terminated the following year.

Though the popularity of anime (animation), and manga (comic books), had seen a huge audience growth for many of the last 20 years, mainly due to its influence in some of the marketing aspects, that involved books, videos, TV series, video games and related products, it seems now, for several reasons, that it’s popularity unfortunately, has started to decline.
It was in 2007 that the manga industry actually released the details of a decline of just over 4% of its annual sales, and also stated that for the fifth consecutive year it saw a decrease in not only the readership, but also fans of its productions worldwide.

It was soon discovered by American and Japanese researchers, that this may be a result of a decreasing number of younger people in Japan and other countries, who don’t have as much interest in reading manga as they used too.

This is partly attributed to a growing dissatisfaction with some of the originality produced in today’s copy, and the availability to many other media outlets to view anime and manga, like cell phones for example.

In the U.S, the base of fans originally were mainly followers of science fiction, but soon after being exposed to imported copies of Japanese manga at conventions, the popularity of anime and manga grew.

Eventually even before it was licensed for sale here, pirated copies of anime, with subtitles in English, were sold to fans of this animation style. Some of the more well known shows like Astro Boy, and Pokemon were regularly shown as series on TV in many countries.

Mike Tatsugawa is the CEO and founder of the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation and says the biggest milestone for anime in the United States, was made possible in the 1980s, with the advent and boom of the internet. Communication between fans was made very easy and the quality and quantity of subtitled movies changed drastically.

Many fans believe anime is the only true form of animation, and with its beautiful artwork, the visual quality is found to be superior than most cartoons found in the Western Countries. Another appealing quality is that the story lines of anime vary from show to show, with content designed to please both adults and children compared to many other types of cartoons that cater to only kids.
If you haven’t seen anime it is worth checking it out. If you are a fan of animation you will likely enjoy it and for some more interesting stuff on anime check out the History of anime.
